Confidentiality Policy

1 • Preamble: purpose of the Privacy Policy

Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals in relation to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the "GDPR") sets out the legal framework applicable to the processing of personal data.

When you browse the website beamy.io (hereinafter the "Website"), the App Center, or when you request Beamy's newsletter as a partner, Beamy may collect and process personal data about you in compliance with the GDPR.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you of the conditions of such collection and processing and to remind you of your rights in this respect.

For information on the processing of your personal data as an employee of our customers, please consult Article 11 of this Privacy Policy.

3 • Purposes of the processing

3.1 • Demonstration request form
The form allows you to send a request for a demonstration of the services that Beamy can provide. Beamy processes the personal data collected on this occasion for the following purposes:

  • processing the request that is the subject of the form;

  • proposing a demonstration of Beamy's services;

  • making a commercial offer;

  • improving Beamy's services

3.2 • Cookie
The navigation data that Beamy collects may be processed for the following purposes:

  • to enable you to browse and consult our Website, to adapt the display, to improve your browsing and to optimise our Website;

  • to establish statistics and audience measurements on the use of our Website;

  • to enable you to share your content on the LinkedIn social network.

3.3 • Cookie on the App Center

To enable you to use the App Center, Beamy sets a session cookie, which is necessary for it to function properly. This cookie stores the email address as well as the App Center user's identification data (first and last name).

4 • Types of personal data collected
The data collected are the following:

In the context of the request for a demonstration:

  • Identification data (last name, first name, organisation, function);

  • Contact data (email address, telephone number);

In the context of cookies:

  • Connection data (IP address)

5 • Legal basis
The purpose of the processing relating to the demonstration request form is to respond to your requests legally based on Article 6.1, f) of the GDPR.

Data processing relating to cookies is based on your consent, legally based on Article 6.1 a) of the GDPR.

6 • Recipients of the data
Only the persons mentioned below may have access to the data:

  • Beamy's employees who need access to the data in the course of their duties;

  • service providers or support services (in particular our hosting provider Netlify);

  • third parties likely to place cookies on your terminals (computers, tablets, mobile phones, etc.) when you give your consent (for more details, see our Cookies Policy);

  • a third party social network, the Website using a plugin provided and operated by LinkedIn. As a result, by clicking on this plugin, you can send the information you view in a section of our Website to the third party. If you are not logged into your account with the third party, the third party will not know who you are. If you are logged into your account with the third party, then the third party may link information or actions relating to your interactions with the Website to your account with the third party. Please refer to the third party's privacy policies for more information about their data practices;

  • to agencies, courts and judicial officers where Beamy is legally obligated to do so or where disclosure is necessary to enforce an agreement, protect your rights or those of Beamy.

7 • Data retention period
Beamy keeps your data for the time necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and then for a time defined by the legal and contractual constraints on Beamy. After the set periods, the data is either deleted or kept after being anonymised, in particular for statistical purposes. Therefore, data collected via the demonstration request form is kept for a maximum of three (3) years from the date of collection or the last contact from you with Beamy, unless a commercial relationship has been established with Beamy. With regard to cookies:

  • on the Website, the data is kept for a maximum of fourteen (14) months;

  • on the App Center, the data is kept for the duration of the user session.

8 • Your rights
You have:

  • a right of access to your data: you can obtain confirmation from Beamy that your data is being processed and check its content;

  • a right to rectification of your data: you can request that inaccurate and/or incomplete data concerning you be rectified and/or completed;

  • a right to the deletion of your data: under certain conditions, you can obtain the deletion of data concerning you collected by Beamy;

  • a right to limit the processing: you can obtain that Beamy freezes the use of your data;

  • a right to object to the processing of your data: under certain conditions, you can object at any time to Beamy using some of your data (in particular, you have the right to unsubscribe);

  • a right to withdraw your consent;

  • a right to decide what happens to your data after your death.

9 • Transfer of personal data
Beamy does not intend to transfer the data collected outside the European Union.

10 • Right to complain to the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority)
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL at the address below if you believe that the processing of your personal data does not comply with the regulations in force:

11 • Processing of personal data in the context of contracts concluded with our customers
In the context of contracts concluded with our customers, Beamy may process the personal data of our customers' employees. Beamy carries out these processing operations as personal data processors within the meaning of the GDPR on the instructions of the customer, while the customer remains the data controller. Information on such processing is provided to employees by the customer.

12 • Changes
This policy may be modified or amended at any time, particularly in the event of changes in legislation, case law, decisions and recommendations of the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) or practices.
